Huuaahh.. begini nasib gadis tebengan :P terpaksa dah nongol pagi2 di kantor. Biasanya sih gak rela rasanya masuk kantor kalo blum 5 menit menuju jam masuk *hehe* jadi seringkali 'terpaksa' ngopi duluw di Dailybread. Reading. Discreetly observing my surroundings: the earlybirds *rekan senasib*, the lazy (or smart?) workers *absen duluw baru ngopiii*, couples that just went for a morning jog *jogging ~> latte? Not good :P*

But right now? Oh well. Remember what I said earlier, about not being able to shop so recklessly anymore? *beda lagi kata2nya* Hmm.. doa pagi ini: ya Allah, limpahkanlah rezekiMu padaku -eh salah.. eh, bener juga siy.. hehe.. tapi yg sesuai dgn konteks kali ini: ya Allah, berikanlah hambaMu yg kadang agak sedikit boros ini kekuatan untuk menahan diri dari perbelanjaan dan berikanlah kemampuan menabung dan kesempatan untuk memperoleh rezeki secara halal.. *amiien*

Ah, yes. Just got a copy of Get Free *thanks Ga ;)*. Tau kan, salah satu kompilasi *yang biasanya* berisikan hit terbaik (baca: most POPular) dari so-called ‘alternative’ artists/groups, seperti Linkin Park, or Avril Lavigne and her obnoxious little friends.

If they’re so obnoxious, why are you even bother writing about it?

Apa yang gw coba kemukakan di sini adalah, menurut gw, kompilasi ini satu2nya kompilasi yang cukup ‘decent’ untuk dimiliki dan didengar. A must-have bagi para pendengar musik ‘ringan’ yang berkualitas. Tapi gak tau juga deh ya, selama ini sih ngeliat kompilasi keluaran lokal tuh bener2 ‘sellout’. Kebanyakan kompilasi ngambil amannya aja, ngeluarin single2 yang dah terkenal, sering didenger, jadi biasanya pasti disukai banyak orang. Begitu ngeliat ada kompilasi, ada tulisan gede2 di sampulnya, ‘menjual’ ketenaran artis2 yang either memang sudah cukup terkenal dan memiliki hit2 yang bagus sehingga semestinya orang sudah memiliki albumnya, ATAU yang overrated. Koq jadi ngomel2. Anyways, intinya, bravo buat Sissi Silvia & Morina Chandra sebagai compiler jagoan (not THAT compiler, you geek!). Three thumbs up! *angkat jempol kaki*

Okay, so it got Radiohead, Saybia, and Maroon 5 in it. BUT not the singles that are played over and over and over again at local radiostations or malls! Terus lagu2 lainnya, kayak Auf Der Maur’s Followed the Waves. Dulu pas pertama kali denger single ini, awal2nya koq kayak early Alanis, tapi terus dah gitu kirain artis lokal. Entah knp bisa mikir gitu. Trus lagi, ada Placebo, Starsailor, Phoenix, and Graham Coxon. Dan yang baru pernah denger, Speedway and Alfie. All in all, this is one excellently compiled album. Get it.

Oookay then. So. If you're really fond of it: ..cassette?

Duh. Of course. It’s a compilation fer God’s sake. If you really like the artists & their singles, go buy their CDs! My motto: Never buy compilation CDs, ‘cept it’s a great soundtrack of a great/lousy movie. Or best-ofs. Or b-sides. But it all depends on the artist, though. Oh nevermind, its a whole different story.
