Have you seen my childhood?

Assalamualaikum

Cuz i'm dying to go back there n once again know what it feels like to be a (pesek-nosed and curly-haired) little girl :P Talk about childhood, do you have some records that you grew up with? the ones that make you feel like reminiscing the good ol' days when u listen to 'em? ones that you feel like they're your all-time faves? well, i do. Here's a list of some of that records which i'm now dying to get a copy of, cuz ones that i have are those of cassettes which means i cant transfer em to my iPod (yes i CAN, but not after some rigourous and quality-degrading procedures, u geek), in no particular order:

1. Babyface - Tender Lover
2. The Cover Girls - We Can't Go Wrong
3. Paula Abdul - Forever Your Girl
4. New Kids On The Block - Hangin' Tough
5. Bobby Brown - Don't Be Cruel
6. Rick Astley - Whenever You Need Somebody
7. Michael Jackson - Thriller, Bad, & Dangerous *hmm..*
8. Debbie Gibson - Out of the Blue & Electric Youth
9. Karyn White - Karyn White
10. Color Me Badd - C.M.B.

There.

Those are some records that remind me of hundreds of vhs dan betamax tapes my family and i used to rent from a rental nearby *Sin Tiauw Eng Hiong, Sin Tiauw Hiap Lu, To Liong To, anyone?* :P, hundreds of Lego pieces, the Monopoly, ermm.. what else?

My first of whatevs

Assalamualaikum

Thursday nite i went to see my first theater show. No, it wasnt one of those theaters with numbers folowing the word, but a real theater. It was at TIM Graha Bintara Budaya. The play's titled Republik Togog. I didnt even recognize all of the casts' names save for a Cornelia Agatha who played a relatively small role with quite a few lines. Hmm.. she got to sing a couple of songs though, so maybe its not a small role afterall. The play was great, the casts played real good especially one who played the housemaid called Limbuk or something. She was one of the main attraction i think, cuz everytime she showed up, no viewers could turn their eyes away.. well, at least not mine. Anyways, the play started at 7 and by the time it reached the end of the first half it was already 9. So, you could guess, i went through the second half half-awake. By the time i got home it was around midnite and that made me quite sleepy at the office on Friday.

Friday nite yoga and i went to meet his friends at this music event that turned out to be this really small, friendly event in Bulungan. I think everybody knows everyone there, except us. Well, at least not me. We were there for about an hour or so, just after the Ballads of the Cliche and Dua Sisi(?) and continued to Citos where there's this much bigger event called the 9 Skala Richter. We got there at around 11, the big bands had already played so we didnt bother to buy tickets and we just hung around in front of Score! for awhile, saw Kikan n hubby tried to go home but got stuck with some girls asking to be photographed with her. We continued to Aksara, then to A&W and just sat there accompanying Hasief finishing his beef burger.

Saturday nite i went to my first football match ever. At the Gelora Bung Karno! Heheh. It was fun! As long as you kept your eyes as to make no eye-contacts with whoever :P It was quite scary though, cuz everytime Singapore goaled or our players played bad or made mistakes, we had to keep our heads protected cuz you'd never know what u gonna get from spectators at the balcony. A person in front of me got stroke by a half-full aqua bottle! Thats gotta hurt. We fled from the stadium at about half an hour before the end of the second half cuz the flying objects got more n more often and dangerous. Got home at around midnite so I felt too sleepy in the morning Mutti n Papa left to Bandung without me.

Tada!

Assalamualaikum

Goodbye 2004.

Quite a good new year 'celebration', if one'd prefer it be called that way. Almost all the gals were there: Iie, Ocit, Winda, even ones who said they won't stay overnight but did so eventually: LC and Mut2 ;) oh, not forgetting the BBQ Flame Masters: Iman, Iboy, n Sendok, who were so high-spirited in trying to light the coals they almost missed the New Year's Eve. Hmm.. Iboy DID miss that one, actually :P

'food was exceptionally great and, erm, a bit abundant :"> lots of beef and seafood sashliks, mashed potatoes, french fries, corn soup, spaghetti, sausages.. nyum. Not forgetting the bintang zero (note to self: dont ever buy that again) and the ever-so-refreshing coke'n'rum.

The highlight of the nite was, noneother than.. *drum rolls* ..The OC marathon!! Hahaha.. about 6 episodes in a row! What, 6 full hours of Adam Brody? Dont mind that at all :D

I slept at around 2 while the girls were still watching Harold and Kumar. Winda tried to wake me up at around 3 and i got up for what seemed like hundreds of her callings and 'toyoran' *hehe* just to finally drag myself to the upper floor and continue my sleep on the living-room couch, too lazy and too drowsy to experience yet another flight of stairs to my bedroom and, especially, to try to find a space on the bed which already had 5 girls sprawled on it.

Anyways, woke at around 8 and finished off all the leftovers. Tiko came by at around noon and we went to Citoz right after Dzuhur. Ate Thai Express and enjoyed Pisa ice cream.

Yoga came later that nite and we went straight to Sportsman's. Met Hasief there and they watched some football match and played foosball. As for I, thank God for iPod's existence, listened to some great songs while taking a few sips of err, some drinks.

Hmm.. good food, good beginning and, hopefully, good year *kayak merk ban* Welcome 2005.
