In Troubled Times..

..you are allowed to do many things that'll ease your troubled mind. For instance, you could:

1. Lock yourself in your bedroom, put on Cat Power's The Greatest or Turin Brakes' Ether Song, and think about what you've done or what you've been through. You may justify your actions and get extremely mad for getting things you think you really dont deserve. And then you may feel sorry for yourself for all the unfairness and the mess you're in. And then you may feel guilty for all the people you've hurt and the damage you've done. And lastly, you may cry your heart out for your plain stupidity. However, this should only be done once in a while. Or else, you'll end up feeling sorry for yourself all the time and be one of the most depressing people and then no one will ever want to befriend you and you'll end up alone and feeling even more sorry for yourself. Oh the viscious circle.

2. Have your loved ones around. Preferably ones who aren't related to the problem in the first place. Spouse. Boyfriend. Parents. Siblings. Or your extremely cute, dodol, and nyebelin nephew. Or if they arent available, contact your close ones. Bestfriends. Invite them for a meet-up. Anyplace with coffee should be good. Talk about anything but your problem, as it'll take your mind off of it for the time being. This won't solve the problem for sure but it should help clear your clouded mind. Unfortunately, this cannot be done so often as even your parents, who are bound to love you unconditionally, will need their privacy sometimes (ew.. I didnt mean THAT sort of privacy, u pervert!). And also those coffe places, as I often said, are somewhat money sucking. If you don't be careful, this'll only add to your problem.

3. Do something productive. Something mind-challenging. Something hygienic. Something that also forces you to do some physical excercise. Or, in the words of Rob Fleming: The Great Reorganization (okay so maybe it was Laura who actually said it, but that's not the point now is it?).

The Great Reorganization is not as easy as you may think. There are certain procedures to be done.

Firstly, put on your old shirt cuz it gets dirty, bringing those CD's down. Secondly, you have to set the correct mood. For instance, when I started to put the CD's off the rack, I put KT Tunstall's both Telescope and Acoustic Extravaganza on, because they're what I was feeling. They also helped me decide the reorganization groupings.

And then it gets more heated, so I put OK Go's two albums so as to put my spirits high to do the most exhausting task: putting the CD's back to the rack following the chosen grouping methodology.

By the time it's finished, you'll feel like taking a cold shower. And then you'd want to indulge yourself to a cup of hot chocolate (or a cup of tea, if you're feeling REALLY bad). Dont forget to say goodnite to your loved ones and do your prayers.

And, lastly, put on some inspiring music (current choice: bossanova, the Format, a bit of Belle & Sebastian) and write some words on your blog, preferably something light and relaxing.

Enjoy your troubling moments! Cheers.

Wassalamualaikum
