enola alone

Assalamualaikum

Lonely is a such a terrible feeling. A feeling I've long since forgotten. And yet it comes, not unexpectedly.

I've lost a very dear friend. Almost lose my loved one. My best friend is away having one of the best days of her life. People with whom I've been working are leaving, one by one. The job, well.. pretty much sucked.

Today, after being quite fed up with work, I ended up trying to finish that puzzle in one of those escape-the-room games while waiting for my boy to finish his work so we could go and watch The Prestige. Not till it's quite late that I've managed to finish the game, not without a *cough*cheat*cough* help from my colleague. Still there's no news whatsoever about going to the movies so I decided to go home.

The long way home was not very helping, what with Mampang being rocky and all. And turned out Yoga was still in the middle of a presentation. The radio stations were not too friendly: they either talk a little too much and a little too loud, or they put on those annoying pop/r'n'b songs over and over again. With such great timing, my iPod ran out of battery. And to my greatest disappointment, I found, when I got home, that my parents and my sister weren't home yet. God must love me.

So I just sort of slumped in the living room couch, turned the TV on, hooked instantly to John Malkovich's pale face in Dangerous Liaisons. Good beginning. About 15 minutes later, my sister got home, and as soon as I tell her about the movie, she instantly joined me (Cruel Intentions is in our Top 5 Favorite Movie Ever). Another 15 minutes, my parents arrived. With Mutti being Mutti, the house was finally filled with annoying voices other than Malkovich's :P Papa cooked noodle, so thats dinner for me. Another plus. And just a few minutes before the movie ends, Yoga called and we ended up making plans for the weekend.

And now I'm still wide awake writing a journal entry while playing inside-the-firewall game. Perfect :)

Wassalamualaikum
